I actually really dig that they make their guitars with a center block, but that's because I play heavy loud music and like to do so with hollowbody gretsch guitars. Their classic 6 was as nice as any other guitar I've ever owned. They're aces, man.

There just ain't many hollow bodies to choose from and they have a sound I love but I guess the masses prefer the block and Eastwood even describe it as an upgrade ;p

It's not that I prefer it, it just definitely helps with the feedback issues. However, I'm a Gretsch fan so I rarely look at any other hollowbody guitars. They got it right the first time.
