I'm likely picking up a Rainbow Machine, after about a year. But, I also kind of want to pick up a dual fuzz.

I've always liked the idea of the Shoegazer, but I'm also interested in seeing what else is out there. I'm REALLY lacking in my fuzz, I've only got a big muff that I modded and the HCFX octoFucker. Not a huge fan of that pedal.

I'm looking for a crunchy fuzz tone, I really loved my hyperion, but I had to get rid of it.

Toss me suggestions if you've got the time. I run through an Egnater Tweaker 40, and possibly a Super Reverb if this guy gets back with me.

I always thought of ToneBenders of having a crunchy sort of tone. The EQD Tone Reaper is nice. You could always sell your modded Big Muff and pick up a Hoof Reaper, which would be muff, octave, and tone reaper all in one!

Hoof Reaper is pretty badass but I really love the Seriously Special Twosome with the Blunderbuss and Fixed Fuzz Dlx. The Blunderbuss side is unlike any muff I've ever heard, just nasty and heavy and mean as fuck. The Fixed is full of sounds from simple clean boost to OD to thin ratty fuzz to balls out thick tones with nice filter tone control section. Versatile pedal for sure. :thumb:

Roland BeeBaa is pretty great. Not really dual fuzz, has and amazing Od side that gets hairy and a fuzz section with a two way tone stomp. Its some serious fuzz. Ain't no foolin.

I love the BeeBaa too, unique sounding and awesome. Gets super heavy but retains clarity and cut or dials back to a nice sounding OD.

You could always hit up ILF's LaoWiz and get him to make you a custom dual fuzz. He makes some sick stuff for great prices and his etched enclosures are tops. I have his Warthog (BeeBaa clone) and a dual with a Fuzzmaster and a Double Beat combo. Shit is sick!

Good advice ^
Yeah, you should check out the double beat beast too. Just stupid amazing, and a very wide range of fuzz tones before you factor in the treadle.

Haven't even heard of most of these, thanks! My MAX budget is $200 by the way.

i made some demos of both those fuzz pedals in another thread, they're not high quality and i'm just looping some basic chord changes while going through the available sounds. i'd link to it but don't know how. Its the Uncle Grandfather demos vintage fuzz pedals..thread, in general gear.

$200 will get you a custom LaoWiz dual fuzz for sure. Think both the Hoof Reaper and Seriously Special Twosome run a little over your budget if buying new.

What about the Rocket fuzz?

It's awesome finally having a stereo setup. My rig is extremely loud.
