Anybody have an original Frazz Dazzler?
Anybody rocking one of the three knobbers? I ordered one from Ryan back in January of 2007 and it was a super-cool-ultra-gated fuzz to play around with. I eventually sold it because I was using old Fender Mustangs and those pickups just didn't have enough output to produce any sound through the pedal, unfortunately.

I used to have one and saw someone recently using one. Get a current version. It's one of my most used pedals.

How does the current frazz do with low gain pickups? I really want to try one.

I just had to fix a stomper in a 3 knob Frazz from 2007, they sounded quite a bit different back then! Really raw and aggressive.. nowadays they're smoother and fuller.
Today's Frazz is fine with single coil pickups.. the old ones were too, remember I'm a single coil guy.. it's just that you have to have your guitar's volume all the way up or it could be too gated. I barely notice the gate of the Frazz, it's strong but quite subtle. Today's version has a toggle choice for a non-gated lower gain side, it still rips hard and has no gate at all. With the gain over half on the gated side, the gate easily let's notes sustain into feedback.

Am I a bad person for digging the Frazz with the gain set at its lowest, both in low gain and high gain mode? In low gain mode it's like this nice crunchy medium fuzz dist thing with a bit of hair. Flip it over to high gain and it's brutal splatty fun.

Yes! Very bad! Dime the gain on both sides for best sound! :animal:

I'm definitely eying those new Frazzlers pretty hard. The blue ones are just...so..damn...beautiful!
I think I need another gated fuzz in my life.

Tele and Frazz go together like spaghetti & meatball (or some other delicious pairing
)
I use both of those settings
Most all of my lowgain sounds come from the frazz, with vol & sizzle to taste, gain knob lowest/toggle low, and mix about 1/3 up. If I need more, turn the mix full cw...need more, flick the switch. The elements also gets stacked...but that' another discussion all together hah.
For real gated stuff, I usually go...Vol/Sizzle/Mix to taste, toggle high, gain knob 1/3 up, and work the volume knob on my guitar.
If I just want fuzzmania, which is pretty often...vol to taste, sizzle 1/2-3/4 up, mix full cw, gain 2/3, toggle high
...The settings go on and on, haha. Love the Frazz.

Black and green, you say? I'm sold. Consider it ordered. When is that finish going to see its release?

I really enjoyed my Frazz, had to let it go due to some financial circumstances. But I'm looking forward to get another one, when things go smoother

I love this! I love spaghets too, I'd eat 'em every day!
I always use the Frazz with the mix dimed and the gain either at 75% or dimed.. with a totally clean amp, that's important.

I'm hoping things go smoother and faster with this box order and I get to start building these in January, that's my Christmas wish. No robot on this finish either, did I mentinon that? It's all green dots text, looks cool.

Arm-twisting blem anytime you want! *big smile* You had an older one right, not a current version? I think current version is the way to go..

I definitely can't wait to see a Frazz without a robot on it. I love robots, but this is definitely an interesting notion.
