give em a try man, I've had great results with Hemi's and alumitone deathbuckers and p90's, so far lace has been great with everything I've tried.

My buddy actually has some in his Hamer double cutaway. Not bad, not bad at all. They retain the low end well, and they're pretty hot without turning completely muddy. I prefer my own pickups, if only for their clarity. Not sure I'd drop that much money on pickups, but they certainly don't suck. The only thing that's bugged me about Lace is that their pickup sets aren't any cheaper than just buying 2 individual pickups.

Ive had a dimebucker in that les paul for. . . (FUCK IM OLD) 10 years. I think its time for a change. BKPs are soooo goddamn pricey and not made in MURICA. . .
I should mount that dimebucker in the bridge of my Tbird bass to make it fuycking screeeam

I have on in the bridge of my les paul and absolutely love it. It's not just stoner mud, I use it in a band that tries its hardest to rip off 80s uk crusty death stuff and it sounds perfect for that. Super hot output too, basically removed the need for a rat pedal in my chain. If you've got the cash to spare they're worth a try.

Yeah I've got one in my floydie iceman, whoops ass. Unfortunately, I'm gonna hafta let it go. Haven't tried any BKPs. The heshers seem like the go though. Pikes tone has been shit hot the last few times HoF played here and sleep sounded nice as well. Dase is on it!

"Hmmm that's pretty tough. For one, they're hot as shit. Probably some of the hottest passive pickups you can get. They also have really intense mids that are great for sludge, and they clean up pretty well. Just don't expect to ever get a proper scooped modern tone from them.
The bridge pickup is voiced just right, but the neck pickup can occasionally go too fucking deep on your low strings if you don't have everything set up correctly. I would only recommend the neck pickup if your guitar has separate tone controls for each pickup.
Also be careful not to raise the pickups too high like you might with stock pickups to get more gain because they'll start distorting your pedals, etc."
