PS stang pup replacement

Post by Bellyheart »

My Fralins just came in that I got for the 'stang since i realized I wasn't into HBs. Now I need a solution for the ridiculous and unnecessary pup screw holes on the pick guard. Two on one side and one on the other. It's as if they didn't want anyone to change the pickups. The fralins are p92 with the universal one-hole-on-each-side.

What can I do?

I posted this at OSG but I feel this is a better place to ask.

So will you need to drill a 3rd hole on the one side? I'd say just cover up the other holes with stickers or something, it doesn't seem worth getting a new pickguard for.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention I'm currently without a drill.

You could get a phillips screwdriver if you had one small enough and punch the appropriate hole. Certainly not the most classy method, but it could work

Dude, genius. I've actually had way to much experience with holes in plastic. I made the hole perfectly centered and didn't butcher the fit or anything.

Thanks skully.

Sure I'll have a wiring questions soon enough.

Alright so I realized I'm about to have some switches on there for no reason. I'm about to just use the three way toggle. However, I'd love to do some series/split/parallel wiring and perhaps the other could be in phase/out phase/????(kill)?

Any diagrams would be helpful. Found a bunch without the normal mustang but don't know how to apply to the mustang with a three way. My knowledge is monkey see monkey do at this point.

I know Ancient Astronaught and MEC have both done series/split/parallel wiring on a 3 way before!
