yeah i found a shop selling them in various degrees of distress. i bought one for my cp jazzy. there are people or shops, where you send in your current pickguard and they will cut you a new one however you like. i imagine the aluminums are an option. i can try and find the shop if no one else comes through. i just googled what i was looking for and finally found a couple shops actually, both in the usa.

Just a warning, there was a big problem on Offsetguitars a while back with Tone-Guard. He'd take money, but then stop responding to emails and never deliver. No personal experience with this, but I'd certainly be wary.

Not sure if that was ever resolved, but I'd suggest that if you do order through Tone-Guard, make sure you dispute with Paypal within the 45 day period if your guard hasn't shown up by then.

SneakyT over at Offset sells the Squire VI guards direct and on eBay and he's good to deal with. He offered to make one for my CS Bass VI but needed a tracing or the original guard to do so. WD will do it with a tracing as well but it's costly. Do you have the a left handed VI in hand? That's gotta be some super rare shit!

Never sent any money their way, but I tried multiple times to get them to work on a custom design for me and never heard back. Sent a good few emails to him and they never checked as being read, and certainly not responded to.
Their work looks great, but the customer service definitely makes it seem questionable at best :grumpy:

I'd like to know if you get it. From what I've heard just the custom stuff is sketch as they are supposed to have everything else in stock. I plan on getting one for my JM in the future.

i don't know anything about that place, and its not where I bought my gold anodized, i was just using it as an example of how easy it is to find shops using google. i'm sure you'll be fine though, site seemed super legit...more so than the site I ordered mine from.
