Catalinbread Perseus/ Dwarfcraft Robot Devil opinions
Anyone have experience with these, or any other 1 octave down fuzzes? Tell me about them. What do you like/not like, anything.

First of all, welcome to ILF!
The Robot Devil does 2 octaves down too and it rules, I like running it in to other fuzzes. It isn't the most clean octave effect, things can get glitchy or noisey but it sounds dope. You can also just dial out the octave and use it as a drive pedal as well.

Perseus tracks waaaayy better than the Robot Devil. I personally prefer the Perseus because of that, and also because the fuzz is kind of gated. It's great for synthy junk, and straight up fuzzing. The Robot Devil's dirt is more distortion-y than fuzzy. I could see the Robot Devil being cool if you like that glitchy stuff, and just wanna make some noise.

Well that pretty much ends the discussion right there! Definitely looking for what you describe the Perseus as.Moustache_Bash wrote:Perseus tracks waaaayy better than the Robot Devil. I wasn't a fan of the Perseus, but I play bass. I could not make it behave at all. It can sound amazing on guitar and keys, but I just couldn't get any tones I liked out of it. I've had a lot more success with the Recovery Couple Skate. A lot easier to reign in, and warmer in general IME. Love it.
