Jaguar Baritone Special HH
I have been unsuccesful at aquiring a squire bass vi so far but I found a jag baritone hh special on CL and was cobsidering pucking it u Ok ibstead at an extra $150. Anyone have any experience? Can you tune E-e octqve lower like the bass vi?

27" scale seems too short to go a full octave down but maybe possible with a super thick string set.

I had one and sold it to FungalAttack. With the low B string saddle as far back as it could go the lowest I could get it intonated with a .68 low string was G. I never got a chance to throw thicker strings on there and test out if it could go lower. With something in the .80 range on the low string you might be able to but I can't say for sure (I use .79 with a 25.5" scale length for F). AMAZING guitar though none the less, definitely one of the ones I regret selling the most, but now I mainly play seven strings in drop F so it'd be kinda redundant.

I tuned down to a bass D on a 28" scale and the intonation wasn't perfect, but it was easily playable. Used a .95 on it after somehow breaking a .100
