EHX Memory Boy Switch Problem

Post by patrick »

I've had my Memory Boy for a good while now (~3-4 years), and it's recently started to crap out on me a bit. Sometimes when I hit the switch, my signal will be greatly reduced, but if I turn it on and off again quick, it will be back to normal. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens often enough that it's a concern; I played a show last night, and it did that. Any idea how to fix this, or should I look at a new echo?

Probably just needs a new switch, 3PDT foot switches are mechanical and as such, wear out with use, if you can solder, shouldn't be too hard to replace.

Contact cleaner and compressed air fixed it.
