PA System halp plz

Post by andtheLiquidmen »

I'm looking to start doing some shows sans-band, and I am in need of a PA that:
1: One person of average strength can lift (that would be me)
2: Compete with a Twin Reverb without getting garbled/shitty/distorted
3: Has a decent bass response. There will be a pretty wide range of frequencies being pumped through it during any given song
4: Preferably under $700

New/old doesn't matter. I honestly have no idea where to start, seeing as I've never tried anything like this before. There won't be any vocals, so I'm not too concerned about loud volume vs. feedback.

So...yes. Halp :poke:

i've been using this for awhile.

http://www.mackie.com/products/thump/

i got the 12" one, and it is LOUDDDDDD. really crispy sound. built in 3 band eq on the back.

best thing of all is its powered so you don't need any other shit to use it. and it is SUPPPER lightweight to carry w/ a nice grippy handle on the top and side.

i would highly recommend this thing.
