Mini Hall of Fame Reverb

Post by goosekevin »

This looks kind of cool I guess
Hated the idea at first and have never tried the full sized HOF but I can definitely see this selling well

I guess that would be useful if you already owned a HOF and only used one setting all the time. I usually do that with reverbs.

But seriously, tiny pedals don't even save that much space if they don't have top-mounted jacks. I'd prefer if they were wider and top mounted because i found with the ditto and polytune mini that they feel like they're gonna fall over on their side when you step on them.

hopefully it would be cheaper, otherwise it probably wouldn't sell much when you could get the tweakable version

i agree about the jacks

i dont like the idea of having to load the algorithm - i would always be paranoid about something going wrong during a gig

This looks interesting, although I still do not understand why these units don't have more than one memory slot. It's just mystifying in this day and age.

I'd use it mostly as a suppmental-type unit, which I could see on some of their other effects than verb being fun as well.

Size isn't really relevant as long as it's not a EHX big box for no reason type affair.

I'm thinking it will control the mix.
As much as I am for board space, I tweak the hell out of my Hall of Fame now as it is with 4 knobs, but if I had a studio board and a gigging board, this would be all over the gigging board!

I would have thought a 1 knob version with a number of Toneprint slots would have been a lot more interesting. Create the toneprints to exactly suit your needs and choose them as required. Not sure if this is as intersting to me, as like Skullservant, I tend to tweak my HoF quite a bit.

Yeah that would be a lot smarter surely, that way you could just have presets for different songs that you could swap between without having to tweak everything or 'beam' the toneprint to it. It wouldn't even need the reverb knob you could just have a rotary knob for the toneprints.

Could work great as a second reverb on board! But yap, i I got a Mooer and with the jacks on the sides takes the same space than the RRR with the jacks on top.
NO CHURCH??? My normal HoF is on church like 90% of the time!

But yeah I think this is a cool idea if it's cheap, but still not for me, I like tweaking a bit too much.

I'm pretty interested as I use a spring reverb 100% of the time and don't tweak it much. But like... I would much rather have something with top mounted jacks on my nano board.

Maybe if the price is right.
