Suggest me some pedals...PLEASE :)

Post by Midnight Rider »

Im playing rhythm guitar in instrumental band (basicly alt rock, fusion) and would like to spice my music with some unique,fx effects...
Considering Red Panda Particle,Boss PS3 is hard to find...Subdecay Prometheus is intresting too.
I heared that Rainbow machine is "one trick pony" and that buyers later use it like chorus, but for me Cosmichorus is perhaps better solution.

Can you suggest me some pedals?? thanks :)

this is just a demo ... mabye too ordinary and I wanna spice it with something...

Currently my pedals are:
Boss TU2- VOX Wah - Digitech Hardwire CM2 - Mooer Black Secret - Black Arts Toneworks Pharaon - Jim Dunlup Univibe - EHX Small Stone - EHX Neo Mistress - Mooer Pitch Box - Boss RE20 Space Echo - Boss DD20 Giga delay - Boss SL20 SLICER- Boss RV5

...and just wanna order Whammy 5 to replace Mooer Pitch Box,Ditto,EHX Microsynth (POG2 was in the play, but I like synth sound more than organ & I dont got so much money :p ) & Strymon BlueSky to replace Boss RV5.
Zvex Sonar is out too for now cause I can get some tremolo effect with a Slicer.

I think that board needs a Cosmichorus. Such a great pedal.

Also check out the Montreal Assembly Goodbye 24, it can cop alot of the PS-3/Particle/Rainbow Machine sounds and more for less money.

Dude that selection of RE20/DD20 and SL20 has to be flipping sweet

are the pedals above in the order they are used?
a filter would be pretty sweet in my mind
I use a three leave groove regulator, it's a beast
also if that is your pedal order move the RV-5 to before the dirt section and try it out
it will make you happy

yeah subdecay makes awesome stuff that's a good route to go
and putting that verb before the dirt will give you all types of massives walls of feedbacky sound
I run my RV5 in modulated mode before some of my dirt
it is very very good in that context

are the pitch box and phase style effects post dirt for a reason?

No just tried that way...not bad at all.
Whammy 5 is on the way to my board (to replace Pitch Box) and he will be first in chain.
After I decide what to buy, have to consider a new order. :)

Fairfield Circuitry Randy's Revenge and the Dr. Sci Cosmichorus would be a great addition.
And for some oscillation fuzz... FuzzHugger(fx) AB-Synth.
