I've heard the Bassman is a great platform for pedals, and it's got that tasty Fender clean vibe, so I'm going to build me one.
What do you play through your BMs? Guitar/bass/keys/synth etc.
Which channel do you use? the BASS INSTRUMENT channel? The NORMAL channel? Both?
I would imagine that guitarists use the normal channel and bassists use the bass channel, but I could be very wrong.
Thanks!

I think the normal channel sounds the best, even on bass!

The bass channel is, as you might have presupposed, very dark and not always appropriate for guitar, so the other channel is a bit better for that. Rhodes sounds great through the normal channel. I've tracked bass through the bass channel which sounds pretty good, too.
It's a really versatile head.

I use a 2x12 bass cab, and bridge the bass and instrument inputs with a patch cable. I can blend both channel volumes and use the guitar eq to boost the mids

Re: Hey Bassman head users...
I've always liked the bass channel on my Bassman 100 for guitar. I hear very little difference between the 2 so perhaps mine was modded somewhere along the line. I play mine into a 70s Orange 4x12 with Celestion black backs in it and everything goes through it - bass, guitar and synths. Love it but I'd rather have a 50 watter and will probably downsize to a 2x12 soon.
