peavey t-60 (and its kin)
got a natural t-60 in my future
its all original with case blahblah
i really have always dug the shape
since you guys first showed it to me
i do remember some issues with the pickups mentioned
and i nitice not many of you have one around
im probably gonna do the same thing as my samick
but some crappy pickups in the neck
whats up with the stock pickups
as compared to stock humbuckers in other guitars
dont really mind swapping out the bridge with a gfs as well
tell me about these things
show me pictures
give me some ideas how to make it sound crazy
as with everything else i get
im not too concerned about resale
but dont wanna haphazardly destroy somethin that dont need it
and im kinda bummed
but not really
this is gonna replace the bass vi i was ginna get
insult me for that decision here too
or praise, whatever
ill take pictures and give details this week
oh and put up some pics of yours(past-present)
even its lil cuzzinz(t-15,t-40,etc)

Don't own one but there's a $225 T40 or 60 here that's been at a pawn forever. Really nice condition, so tempting every time I see it.

Re: peavey t-60 (and its kin)

my guys. best guitars everrrr. stock pickups are pretty bright and the tone knob/coil split circuit is kinda fiddly but they sound great and can get pretty brutal. don't change the bridge, its the best part. it has crazy sustain and plays awesome. if i could compare its sound to anything its kinda like a telecaster or tele deluxe.
this is some shit i recorded with the t-60 pictured. i put it into a ge-7 with a mid-low hump and a beta lead.

I love those pickups. Had a T-60 for a while here and really liked the sound and the feel of the neck, but not so much the weight and the body shape (was always sliding off of my lap when I'd play sitting down.) A T-25 or a T-30 might suit me better. I did get a Patriot from right after the T series (with the Super Ferrite pickups) and that thing RULES.

T60's rule. I had BlindToFaith's for a bit before I sold it (it needed a fret job and I didn't have the money). One of the most solid guitar's I've ever played. If you don't end up digging the pickups, I'd probably suggest other humbuckers because of the amazing blend wiring job in there

Re: peavey t-60 (and its kin)
i had this Patriot for a while:

those Super Ferrite pickups are AMAZING. i actually wish i had pulled them from the guitar before i sold it, because they would have ruled in my Baritone Tele.
those old Peavey guitars are still a bargain, but people definitely seem to be catching on...

one thing: the switches are really fragile, i broke both on the t-60 and just broke the phase switch on the t-40
