Suggestions on CV type stuff

So since I got the Metasonix TM-3 pedal, I want to try and feed it some other CV stuff. I was thinking of a cheapie drum machine or something like that but would love to hear suggestions from guys that use CV a lot. I you do Deltz (should just PM you again. LOLZ)

Anyway, I've been listening to some cool demos and am interested. This thing play ok with my bass but it's not really made for that as I understand it. SO. I'm open to your thoughts. What would you feed into a crazy oscillator?

It's not a MIDI-CV, but we wish to recommend the Encore UEG. It is our favorite CV source: it can be a complex envelope generator, a complex LFO, or an 8-step analog sequencer with variable step times. Support Tony, he deserves it.

The main thing to notice is that it is Hz/V, so you could get one of the new Korg MS-20 mini synths and patch it with that I guess.

Depends what you want to do with it I suppose. Basically, anything you put into those CV jacks will pitch the oscillators somewhat. The Metasonix TM-3 works on +/- 10V for the CV, so if you're using audio signal to modulate the oscillators you may have to boost it to get it to start having an audible affect. Audio has to be pretty loud to get into that voltage range. You can basically use any audio or voltage source for this. It should work like a quasi FM synth (like a ring mod or the Copilot Caracol or the Moog Freqbox) where the two CV sources will be pitching the oscillators and also modulating each other a bit and be audible at the output. Could be pretty cool.

Another question. Is there such a thing as a Midi converter? I emailed Metasonix to ask if he could mod my TM-3 to add a midi out on it and he said the part was no longer available to do that (weird). So I was thinking I want to be able to plug this sucker into my Maschine's midi. That would work wouldn't it? God I'm dumb. I'm trying to learn new stuff though.
