i'm never winning a pedal giveaway :D

So I got home to a package in the mail today and spared no time in tearing it open. Here's what I got:

:joy: WAFFLES :joy:

But seriously Betty arrived!! :!!!:
image (2).jpeg

I also got an email with an explanation from Joe:
i had it in storage for a while , when i pulled it out i wanted to improve it a wee bit. it still has a deep soulful voice but i improved the overall sweep. it is set up pretty loud so i added an output vol under the treadle. when it is set full up it will drive a tube amp in a really pleasing way. there is a treble bleed path which actually makes the bassy setting still have some pick definition ( one of my trademarks) if it gets to be too much i can tell what to snip to get rid of that.

there is one trimmer on board, it sets the bias for Q1 of the wah circ, which is the heart of the tone. i used a germ AC187 in that position. unlike most of my mods i left the dunlop buffer intact since the germ seemed to like that.

overall i would say it is a good wah for treble pickups , esp single coil. if you use it with HB pickups a treble bleed cap is helpful.

After about an hour of playing I have got to say that this is the best sounding wah I have ever heard! It's so smooth; definitely deep and soulful. And with the volume knob up it really does drive my amp nicely. It actually pushes my amp into overdrive in such a sweet way. It sounds amazing on both my Gretsch G5129 (single coil Dearmond pickups) and my Epi Les Paul. And it looks so sexy!
Thanks Joe!

:thumb: waffles? ha, i like that.

thanks. very glad it went to such an enthusiastic dude. it was a pleasure all the way 'round. here is a bit of trivia: betty was originally part of a tourbox thing that i sent to clif taylor of FUZZ MOVIE fame. he dug it!

that was nice photo of it paired with a sister wah next to it^

I re- read the instruction i sent, i should clarify, the last sentence , i meant if you use with hb pickups, a treble bleed cap on your guitar volume pot is helpful.

I've got a couple of wahs I need to send to Joe for some fine tuning.
