Is anyone else geeked on VH1 Classic?
It's like the only channel with any decent music on it.
They run old British BBC and European shows like "Old Grey Whistle Test" and "Rockpalast" (search your cable guide for "BBC Crown Jewels". Lately I've seen great OLD concert footage from bands such as The Police, Blondie, Siouxsie ATB, AC/DC, Zeppelin, Tom Petty (when he was cool in the '70s with cop shades and a Flying V) etc etc.
They also show blocks of classic MTV 120 Minutes, chock full of '80s/'90s modern rock videos (remember when the "M" stood for music?)
They run those "Classic Albums" documentaries. I saw the Sex Pistols one yesterday.
Anyway, don't sleep on VH1Classic. It's an oasis in television's musical desert.

Yeah, back home I watched it all the time. Look out for Neil Young on Old Grey Whistle Test.... its pretty cool/funny. There's also some cool pink floyd documentaries. I wish they had that channel at college.

Unfortunatly, the also load it down with reality shows, crappy documentaries, and stupid coutdown shows. They used to be just music.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, God said, "Let there be Lips!" And there were, and they were good, and the lips said...

I watch VH1 Classic a lot and while it's probably the best music channel I get with my cable I hate how they play the same stuff over and over. I mean I know pretty much every channel does the same thing but it bugs me more since I actually like the shows. It's like "Noooo I already watched it. Guess I have to watch crap." *changes channel*

I hear you, though many of the concerts stand up to repeated viewings.
On New Years Day of 2009, they played a video marathon of over 2000 videos, with NO REPEATS.
It lasted a whole week. I saw so many videos I've never seen, or hadn't seen in years.
They need to do more of that.
