Fix'd Fuzz deluxe vs Fat Fuzz Factory

Bothe of these seem versatile. I have a couple of muffs and want to add something different. Can these pedals cop some super fuzz sounds? Which do you prefer?

Superfuzz?
I can't imagine they can really, they're completely different from it.
They're also completely different from another, one is an oscillating fuzz (Fat Fuzz Factory) and the other one is a broken like sounding fuzz with a hint of upper octave and in my opinion a bit of a weak sounding regular type of fuzz that sounds amazing with the broken fuzz combined (Fix'd Fuzz Deluxe).
In a few days I'll have the Fat Fuzz Factory in so I can tell you a bit more what I think about it.
The Fix'd Fuzz Deluxe is great, quite versatile, though the only two sounds I really liked was the broken sound of Fuzz 2 and the synthy sound you get when you combine Fuzz 1 + Fuzz 2, Fuzz 1 on it's own was quite disappointing to me, also the filter control didn't feel very powerful, I didn't really get big heavy sounds out of it or anything, very cool fuzz though.

I haven't tried a Fat Fuzz Factory but I have a Seriously Special Twosome and the Fix'd Fuzz DLX side is SUPER and incredibly versatile. You have the straight boost, Fuzz 1 that goes from medium od-style gain to thick and full and pummeling, and Fuzz 2 which is pretty much the opposite of Fuzz 1 going from thin raspy vintage fuzz tones to velcro, gated, sputtery high gain that gets pretty synthy and broken sounding in extreme settings.

You can expand further by pairing the boost with either fuzz (or both of course), activating the filter to completely alter tone, stacking fuzzes for oscillating madness, and so on and so forth. Just tons of options, most of which sound incredible to my ears.

Can't really get super fuzz tones going tho as the hyper-present upper octave is absent from the Fix'd. It'll get plenty harsh and mean sounding like a super fuzz, just minus that octave up sound it's famous for.

Haven't played a fuzz factory, but I had a twosome (fix'd fuzz) for a while and I'm pretty sure you can't get any octave sounds out of it. The fix'd can definitely do splatty/broken fuzz sounds similar to a superfuzz, just without the octave

I did hear a hint of octave up in there on Fuzz 2, definitely not true octave up though, I guess I wasn't clear on that.

Agreed that there is def some octave up on the Fix'd, just nothing like a super fuzz.

True, I can't think of anything that has as much of a mean octave up sound like the Superfuzz or Tone Machine really though.
If that's the main deal combined with versatility I'd be looking at a Superfuzz or Tone Machine inspired circuit with an extra footswitch for the octave up.

Truth.

The ss/bs Super Puzzle is a pretty great Superfuzz option, that footswitchable octave is so much better imo. Also has the clipping toggles and hi cut to reign in that insane upper tone. I miss mine at times but I have a LaoWiz built Tone Machine and yeah, that thing is mean as hell too! Also has an octave footswitch.

That new Wattson does look pretty great. Sort of want that now. I don't have enough money for all of these pedals
