12 germanium fuzzes

A great video courtesy of freestompboxes showing 12 different germ fuzzes under somewhat controlled conditions.

Thanks, cool vid!
Apart from the usual Bender / Fuzz Face stuff the Pep Box and Fuzzrite / Orpheum really caught my interest as well. :)
Actually, funny thing is, the Tone Bender MKIII sounds quite Muff like to me, anyone know whether they are related much?

I don't know that they're related but I def agree. Even the mkII can get firmly into muff territory.

EDIT: TWSS.

Save chank the trouble. ;)

Ahh, you should have let him to it, that's a particularly good TWSS!
The MKII seems brighter to me than a Muff / MKIII though and it has more of that blown out fuzzy type quality I like. :)

I thought the Orpheum might work well for doom into an already grindy amp. That scoop seems about right. I was leaning towards the Fuzzrite, Buzzaround, and Mk I myself, but I'm already good on Fuzz Face. Oh, and the Pepbox and Selmer are interesting.
