ehx memory boy super late review
so i got one cuz i cant afford a real memory man and i was hoping to cop some dmm like toans in a smaller footprint.
i was disappoint.
the repeats were weak and kinda bleh. the vibrato was pretty rad, and i considered using it just for the vibrato, but with no control for speed theres no use.
im sad. off it goes. meh.
anyone using one and liking it?

Re: ehx deluxe memory boy super late review
I could never get the repeats/dry signal ratio to work for me. The repeats were either too loud or too quiet, I could never get it just right. It fun tap tempoing the delay times and stretching them ring modulated mess. Fx loop was fun.... good for noise making, but I could never make music with it. Although, I know some on here use it to some success. Just wasn't for me, especially after having a big box DMM.
Youtube Channel?

Yeah...I really am not a fan of the MB. I've still got one that I bought a few years ago and now I use it solely for making noise...I can't pull a delay that suits my taste out of it for the life of me. The lack of flexibility for the usable sounds is a major bummer. The oscillation is fun, though.

I can not seriously wrap my head around what yall want for a delay... Every thread is different and yall all want weird stuff... Just buy 13 delays and get on with it already...

i couldnt get it to continually oscillate...
im pretty set with delay actually. my favorite is the boss re20, right behind that is the ibanez de7. then i have an old ibanez ad9 i bought cuz it was on sale for stupid cheap. i originally intended to flip it but it sounds so damn good i keep it around and use it fairly often.
then theres my smmh. that thing is amazing. ive had it for like, 6 months and im still not done discovering new ways to use it. such a great delay.
so any need i could possibly have is pretty much covered. i only really need a delay that sounds good. and all of the ones i own sound amazing.

Re: ehx memory boy super late review
I have a Memory Boy that i've had for a while, but i always consider selling it to get something else and never go through with it. i mostly use it to make random noises or to add to a reverb and another delay for spacy nonsense.
i dont think its a bad pedal, its just... not quite what i want.
