can you drone with a kaos pad?

Post by whiskey_face »

im looking for something to drone out with my bone out.

I want it to have a clean bass signal, clear down to SILLY low.

also maybe if i could do ambiant shit with it? theres fuckin like 8 diff models of the damn thing but im windering if i can drone it out for some clean bass ambiant tones/ OR if i can send those clean ultra low bass tones through my rig on days when my hands hurt to much to play guitar / bass. . . . :grumpy:

can it make noises like this?

Dunno 'bout that, but have you looked into an EHX Freeze? Or are you specifically looking for the extra bells & whistles the Kaoss-ness would add? There might be an iPad app worth looking into, too. I dig the DR-OM app for drones, though it might not get low enough for what you're saying. Though you could put it thru an OC-2 for glitchy bassdrone funtimes...

Not with a kaoss pad unless you run oscillation through it first then filter and effect it. Maybe check out a kaossilator?

seems like I need to just buy a darn keyboard. . . . all I really want though is the ability to hold ultra low bass signals for drone / trip out purpose. also it needs to have a 1/4 in jack out so i can hook it into my bullshit and really get funky. . .

The KP3 has a Mic input that you could run into with a preamp or get a RCA-1/4 adapter and play away...

I love when you guys get these silly ideas and we have to figure out a solution... :thumb:

I played Bass into the KP3 and got a Drone and played over it... My laptop speakers can't handle it but headphones or some speakers work well for the BASS!!!
