New Fender Japan Strats

These are looking pretty foxy. They appear to be Gibson scale too. And with what looks like a carved top with binding?

Those are Aerodynes. They've been around for a while. Pretty cool looking guitars. Every MIJ Fender I've had has been really good quality.

That color! Makes me think of your BM. I'm not a strat guy, but that would be the body I chose for one I got.

I liked the original Aerodyne better, mainly for the fact there was no pickguard

I guess I'm just really not a Strat/Superstrat kind of guy anymore. I don't know what it is, but unless it's heavily modified and has something out of the norm it seems to take a LOT for me to like a Strat nowadays. I really dig the deep blue color of that Strat though, with the matching headstock. That's really nice. But I'd like to see it applied to something else, even if it was a Telecaster...

I've never been a fan of strats but I recently played one of those newer american ones with like the sanded burst finishes and I really liked it... like alot. They are onlyy $800 new too which is reasonable. Well reasonable for normal people but not for me.

with the multi-layer pickguard bent over a radius like that, it must be a regular pot party trying to adjust the height of the pickups.
