Weird Sound Generator vs 4ms atoner w/sweptoner mod

Can anybody compare them? Any statements on either?

Thanks!

Never tried a Weird Sound Generator but the atoner is fun. Gated fuzz/crazy glitch sounds+drones at the same time is sweet.

the wsg does not take guitar, does lots of sci fi beeps and blips, but nothing super harsh.

This. If you add a power starve pot to the WSG circuit and add a clean boost at the end, you can drain the power almost completely and it starts to get really harsh. But that's just extra work after completing the kit.

I'd also look into the Moodysounds BabyBox, Trogotronic Synths/effects, and the Cacophonator as they can generate tones on their own or you can send stuff through them as well to be processed if that is what you are looking for!

yea trogotronic seriously, I have the beast. I don't think it's done the same thing twice.

Likewise. My bandmate has spent some hard time with my 666 and has started to be able to replicate a small group of sounds, but overall it's just sheer chaos, and the kind of chaos changes completely running it standalone vs. with something plugged into the input.

I've got the modular 666 and I've spent so much time trying to get the same sounds out of it, but each time you turn it on is only a mear approximation of the last time you turned it on, in a good way!
