Does yours pop when the delay 1 switch engaged? Either that alone whilst the main (middle) switch is on, or when trying to engage it via main switch whilst the delay 1 is on.. both produces a poping delay start.. quite loud, especially when the reverb is on. Kinda annoying, but the 2nd delay switch is quiet on mine. Wondering if I'll get the same thing if I send it out for an exchange..

Mine does the same thing but it's way quieter when I have Delay A selected first before hitting the master bypass. It generally only pops the first time I I activate it too, then good to go.

For the record, I've had other delays do the same thing, like delayed switch noise on that initial stomp. I just deal.

I tried to outsmart it, but apparently it just does the same thing either way Just wondering if this is one of that cases of "just deal with it" or mine's a dud.

Yeah, it's usually quiet for the entire time it's powered up after that initial pop is worked out. I'll check it out again later tonight and verify.

That's a great idea. It's actually still under prymaxe's return/exchange period, just curious if the rest are doing the same thing so I don't have to waste time for this pedal going back and forth and some postal money. I just wanna keep a healthy version of this pedal

That's exactly the case with mine. There's your standard pop the first time the switch is stomped but it's mainly the mechanical "click" that you hear being delayed. A couple times cycling on/off works it right out tho.

sometimes when they're not 100% correctly built (or they behave like this in the loop) there can be a build up of.. i'm just gonna wing this and dunwich or someone can come in and tell it straight when i'm done -

popping has to do with DC charging and discharging as the switch it thrown. Likely a pull down resistor somewhere is needed to pull down one end of a cap to prevent it from charging with a switch is thrown

Every first click, it pops.. no pops for few clicks afterwards in a very short period of time (like: on*POPS*-off-on). But it'll pop again if you wait in a little bit after you de-activate the delay (like: on *POPS* -off..................................on *POPS again!*). And no, no fancy loop for me.. just straight pedals in front of an amp. I didn't really care at first, but it gets annoying after a while, especially for the amount of the dough

You're turning your delay off.

It's from a charge building up in the capacitors and then discharging when you hit the switch. That's why it goes away for a while, then the charge builds up, then it will pop again.
