Hello! My name is Matt and I want to share my bands new music ! It is TRIPPPPPPPPPY, so I figured you all would love this.
We are The Shape, an experimental psych rock trio that hails from San Francisco, CA. We have just released our album, 'Into Trenches'. We have spent the last year writing, recording and independently releasing this truly unique work; it is an album rich with textures, cohesive soundscapes and meticulous song writing. In order to work without time constraints, the entire album was self-recorded, mixed and conceptualized by ourselves and with our very close friend Chris Kerrigan.We earnestly strived to raise the bar on what a bedroom album could be. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the record was mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless Mastering. Jeff does a lot of work with Warp records and has mastered the latest Battles, LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire and many other modern classics. He is a total genius who helped us at a significant price break due to his love of our record. We hope you love it too. It is to be issued on vinyl in June.
