Re: Phaser pedals
I have a Dunlop rotovibe, which has vibrato and phaser in a wah enclosure. I like the sounds of both and the functionality of the wah. The phaser is way more intense than the vibrato though. I'd recommend it if you could get a used one for $120 or less, probably alot less. They've been discontinued.

Re: Phaser pedals
I think a better question for me would be "Have you ever met a phaser you didn't like?".
The answer is "No, no I haven't".

I'm using a moog and a phase 45 on my big board am planning on using a maxon PT-707 on a stripped down small board I am working on, has a rotovibe and like it, have 2 smallstones 70's and sovtek.. I don't like the nano ones as much though...

Re: Phaser pedals
I really like the univibe style pedals over regular phasers, I like the fact that they are super lush and considering I play mostly clean this is an advantage to me. Also, the wave form is cool, breaks things up a little. If I do use a normal phaser though I'm not keen on a stong positive feedback sound, I feel like it overpowers everything. Phasers I've had in the past and liked are the Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser, The Blackout Effectors Whetstone and the Maxon PH-350. None of them are really cheap options but all of them were pretty good.

I'm going to be that one guy in every phaser thread who plugs his whetstone.
I have #10, and it is never leaving me.
It's a really versatile phaser, and it sounds great.
It is however, expensive. That might not be what you're looking for.

I'll second the Whetstone, I don't think mine's every leaving my board either. But yeah, expensive. Blackout Sibling phaser might be another option?

Re: Phaser pedals
Currently, I have a V1 Small Stone
I've had Tall Font Sovtek Small Stone, Pigtronix EP-1, EHX Polyphase, Faye Sing, Whetstone and Boss PH-2 before... they're all cool, different flavours, but I must say that personally, I enjoy the simple Small Stone and Boss PH-2 the best

Oh, I'm also a big fan of the Boss PH-1r.
Wicked phase tones. I want to pick one up eventually.

Re: Phaser pedals
I also have a whetstone, but have not gotten into probably 80% of the available sounds in this machine because it is so packed with features. Definitely for the serious phaserite.

Re: Phaser pedals
I've sung the praises of the Subdecay Baby Quasar far and wide, especially when used on bass. Freq + voice control = tonal flexibility!
Sadly, they're no longer in production, though Subdecay now has fancier Quasars available. Maybe you could find one on evilBay if you wuz lookin'.
Edit: while I aven't tried it myself, I've heard good things about the EQD Grand Orbiter.

I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.
