Cleaning PCBs
I was wondering what I could use to get grime/dust off a PCB? Maybe a rub down with isopropyl alcohol? Also, when messing around with circuit bending, what's a good way to hold down a short circuit on the PCB so I can free my hands to fool around with the functions/features of the bent device?

Pretty sure isopropanol is what's in Servisol Super 10 so I'd say yes to that. Insulation/masking tape to the other?

most modern PCB's and components are %100 fine to wash with distilled water. it is very common in mass produced electronics that everything gets a bath to remove acids and other harmful chemicals. the exception might be trim pots and dip switches.

To clean PCBs after soldering, I use isopropyl alcohol, a toothbrush, and some paper towels, and it works great. First, I scrub the PCB with the toothbrush and alcohol, then I do the same but with a paper towel in between to soak up the residues. It makes the boards perfectly clean.
Do you mean holding down wires where they're still connected? I'd think getting creative with some tape would basically be the only option. Maybe a tiny c clamp would work, though?
