Should i become a bogner red fanboy or take the blue pill?

Just posting to see some thoughts between the blue and red versions of bogners ecstacy pedals.


I already have a blackout effectors twosome already but i want a decent drive/distortion to pair with it. Heard reviews that you can fiddle with the blue to get similar high gain sounds like red and it cleans up nicer. However i'm more modern then old school, and as far as i know the blue is a vintage OD whereas the red is heading towards high gain OD / Distortion.

I also have a metal zone pedal to cover heavy distortion which is why im not looking at the uberschall, but the red or blue bogner wouldnt be as aggressive as the metal zone so would be more friendly for the small venues i gig at or more mellow environments. Im also hoping i can use it as a plain solo boost on occasion

From what I understand, the Blue maxes out at unmodded Plexi type gain levels (think AC/DC). Reading a bit about them on other forums that shall not be named, the consensus among guys that have both is that they use the Blue more than the Red.

But if we're being serious here, the only answer is to buy both.
