Post by Mammoth863 »

So I had my first practice with the Monarch. I do love this pedal but it seem to not be as aggressive as what I'm use too. I boosted it with my BBE boosta grande set at about 2 (8 o'clock). I curious if I set the boosta grande higher if it will improve the aggressive(ness) of the monarch? Also what some of you Monarch users setting are.

Do you have the boost before or after the monarch?

What amp are you using?
Special low-frequency version.

I think the monarch is smooth and has a loose feel, try some fuzz before it! Or a boost like LPB-1 that cut some bass and isnt all too clean.

Yeah, the Monarch is very amp like. Huge sounding but not super aggressive. Stacks great with the White LIght, which adds a good bit of an aggressive edge as it is a hard clipping overdrive with a lot of bit.

i got my monarch only a few days ago, and on its own it sounds great, but not aggressive as you would say...however i boost it with a DLS with about half way up on gain on the Rock mode, and together they sound massive and aggressive.

my settings on the monarch are:
treble 9 o'clock
bass 3 o'clock
gain 10 o'clock
