The OC602's tend to have very low gain, typically, too low for a fuzzy fuzz, average hFE 20-25. Probably not unless you want just a light overdrive sound.

that is the problem with these old germaniums. It would work great for a telefunken mic pre as the description suggests. there was a thread recently on DIYstompboxes about how to diy darlington with added resistors to control exactly how much Hfe you want. I have not tried it myself.
I think a better use for them might be to stack LPB1's with maybe some filtering or diode clipping between stages. or just do a regular darlington with them and use it anywhere you need 600Hfe.
you might want to just save them till the next vintage telefunken mic breaks and someone wants to pay you $50 for it.
