Hey guys, I've got another thing out. It's only a single this time. I think it's a good one though. It's more gazey than anything on "Crusher." I'd say it's kind of like the middle ground between In the Evening and Crusher. The B-side is cool too. I'd love it if you'd give me some feedback.

Here it is, the not very anticipated follow up to my first ep. The first noticeable difference between this release and the last is that you can hear what's happening. My production and mixing has improved somewhat and I tried to keep the songs from getting as messy as last time. The next big difference is the sound, while there is certainly a lot of shoe-gaze influence, I've delved more deeply into my Psychedelic and Post-Punk influences this time around. The album has also taken a much darker tone than In the Evening.

I'd love it if you'd give it a spin and tell me what you think (come on man, it's only 37min.)

I tried to hold onto my in-your-face sounds and volume, so play it loud.

So yeah, I made this ep. I think it turned out pretty well. It sounds a bit like a hybrid of Shoegaze, Krautrock, and some elements of dance music and noise. It has its more ambient/drone moments too. It's also pretty badly produced lo-fi, so it sounds better loud.
Did I mention that it has a public domain picture of a fox on it? It totally does. I'd say it's worth it for that alone.

I'd really like to hear what you guys have to say about it; I'd ask my friends, but most them can't offer critique beyond, "I can't hear what you're singin' mate."

I listened to it all and really enjoy every track, although I guess I'm a sucker for lo-fi and shoegaze. "A Fox! A Spirit!" has that chord progression I just love but the noise/lo-fi aspect just is a little too much at times; I guess that would be my only critique? But man, I love "Sun Tattoo", it is drone/noise heaven for me and I like what you are doing with the vibrato. The buildup in "Perfect Teeth" works well too. I guess not too good of a critique but it sounds awesome to me.

Thanks for the kind words!
It's nice to hear Sun Tattoo getting some love, I was worried that it would be perceived as over-indulgent filler.
I also definitely see what you mean about the noise getting too much; I was going for a very overwhelming sound and I think I may managed to overshot my original intentions somewhat.

I didn't think I was going to like this as I'm not a huge fan of shoegaze-y stuff but I ended up digging every track. Nice job dude!

Really enjoyed this.
"Throwing the Piano Down the Stairs" was very pretty, didn't overstay its welcome for me. Good opener, not too much at once.
"A Fox! A Spirit" is my favorite. Good looped, noisey, overloaded track. Good progression. Wouldn't have minded some vocal layering in the middle, but it works as is.
"Sun Tattoo" is also quite good. It made me really pay attention for some reason. Probably the repeating notes in the background, which were catchy to me.
"Perfect Teeth" had a great build up. All the parts worked well together. Felt very optimistic and sunny. The swells felt like waves lapping on the beach. Relaxing and laid back. Could see it used in a movie montage or something.

I'm probably going to download this sometime soon. It felt very fitting for where I am right now emotionally, if that makes any sense.
It also made me want to write music. That's the sign of good music to me.
Thanks for the listen, Bob! Keep it up, bro.

Thanks for all the love guys! It's really great to hear that people actually enjoy the sounds I'm making.
A few of you might be excited to hear that I'm working on a full length. It's going to focus more on the psychedelic aspects of my sound, and some of the cacophony is going to be tamed back; it's still going to sound like a tape machine on the verge of meltdown though.
