My first build is done!

After trolling this forum for far too long, I've finally been able to get my feet wet following through the Tonefiend projects. I built the first 3 projects, and decided the boost/buffer'd be the one to box up as I figure I"ll use it the most.

I drilled out the enclosure and did the graphics as well. Although it may not be the most stunning wiring job, I was amazed that it worked first try. There was a fair bit of swearing involved in boxing it up though. I also neglected to leave room for a battery. Next time.

looks great except for maybe the power jack. try these if you know you dont want a battery hook up.

and maybe throw some electrical tape on that battery snap so your V+ does not touch the case that is grounded. this would short your power supply. not good for the power supply.

Thanks folks!

In regards to the power, I had fully intended on having the battery option, just forgot to leave room for the 9V when I started drilling the enclosure. Didn't realize there would be so much of the power jack hanging out the side, but didn't have anything handy to add as a spacer.

Did put some tape on the battery snap though. Thanks!
