Wah into a Volume Pedal?
I have a spare wah sitting around that i want to convert into an active volume pedal. It's an Eleca, just so that much is clear. I have no idea where to start with the conversion. Anyone got any tips?

Re: Wah into a Volume Pedal?
It might be easier just to rip out the pcb and chuck a new one in. It might be possible to mod but I'd need a schematic...
Anyway how do you want this set up? Silence to +X dB of gain, or unity to X dB of gain? Anyway it would just take a dual op amp and about 5-6 components.
Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operational_amplifier_applications#Inverting_amplifier that's basically what you wanna do, but you'd wanna add a buffer out the front. I could draw you up a proper schematic if it'd be useful? But for sure there's probably some schematics/layouts already out there which would work.
