My buddy owns a 50W Lynx and that goddamn amp is TOP NOTCH! Dishes out some gorgeous cleans, like a mix between a Vox and Hiwatt, sounds fantastic. The high gain is killer too, thick and chunky, no buzz or other annoying factors, really solid amp all around. I love it and would buy one no questions asked if I had the cash sitting around and needed yet another amp. But I don't so I won't.

Yeah, moving on from Vox and being open minded to anything that could caught my ears. I was initially looking at fender amps lately, but buddy of mine who works for the bad cat offered me a good SIGNIFICANT chunk of discount for the bobcat 100. Tried it, and loved it. And I've also tried a different taste & class of blues deluxe, goddamn I love the low end! While I'm not too crazy about boutique amps, but somehow I've heard a lot about bad cat's amps reputation of being reliable and unbelievably awesome at customer support & lifetime warranty, this could means.. free service, and since their office is only about 40 minutes away so this could be really convenient.

One story about these amps being tough, my buddy's fat cat's head fell off the stairs from his dolly before doing his church service, and nothing has happened to the amp except for some scratches.

i believe this is explained in part by the fact that much of the boutique amp market is people over 40 who have significant treble-end hearing loss.
