Deluxe Memory Man Chorus/Vibrato problems...

Post by Marcrothe1 »

Hey guys,

I have a new sensor 5 knob deluxe memory man with the ac plug attached. The delay portion works, however the delays seem to be noisy, but I kind of think that sounds cool. Now when i turn the chorus/vibrato knob up I don't hear chorus or vibrato. I just hear the delayed signal with a high pitched tone along with the noise.

I know that description doesn't really give much but any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated!!! I love this pedal, and I want to get it back into tip top shape!

all the best.

You bought it new or used??? Can you exchange it or try out another??? There is some stuff on the web about the Sensor ones being kind of hit or miss... Is the AC cord 3 or 2 pronged???

How odd, well that high pitched noise is the clock, does delay time control still function properly with the chorus up full? The Vibrato/Chorus will be more prominent with longer delays by the way if you're running this slap back, just to rule that out.

Probably a bad solder joint, that's where EHX messed up a fair bit, that or the mod pot is shot would be the most likely scenarios. The 4047 is obviously still functioning as you're getting delay so somewhere between the LFO & Delay Time Control is failing.

If you can post voltages though of the LFO & 4047 it can be less guess work.
