this is my favorite kind of video. where they do not show you the pedal in use, but rather a stock photo of it, with settings that have no relation to what is being played in the video. so useful!

You like pinstripedclips' clips, eh, MM?
He does some nice playing.
fever606, I don't think his videos are supposed to be listened to as true demos. They're more like "here's an example of what this pedal can sound like in a mix".

Re: Cork Sniffer Fuzz
Best corksniffer fuzz I owned was an Analog.man Sun Face NKT 275 white dot. I should not have sold it, but I did.
Later bought a high gain NKT 275 that was modified for bass friendliness. It was good... but not cork-soakingly good.
EDIT: Then again they both kinda blew in a band mix, so there really was no point in keeping either one.
EDITx2: And currently I own two different B:Assmasters, each of which were more expensive than the above, and both destroy the unborn in a bandmix, in completely different ways (double germanium is thickthickthick, OG silicon ends aurel existence as we once knew it). But I wouldn't consider either one part of corksniffery, for whatever reason. Probably because they have the word ASS in them, and you can't get crass without ass. Plus I mean let's face it, fuxxez that sound like those are more about whisky than wine anyhow.
EDITx3: Maybe having these two counts? I bought the SUPER BASS FUZZ on a whim because it came up for sale and I knew it to be rare, turns out it's the best heavy fuzz (for me) that I've ever come across. Then the Tentacle Love was purchased in hopes of it copping said Katanasound's awesome, and, honestly, they sound nothing alike. BUT I can't decide which I like better. Clearly, my answer is both:

EDITx4: Whoops, I had to correct some typos.
EDITx5: Not a fuzz, but I did own this thing, two different times, until I started using tube amps and didn't have much of a use for it any longer:

EDITx6: Actually that BJFE would have been pretty awesome to hold onto for recording purposes, but that's okay, not like I can't cop those same tones by cranking a tube amp nice and respectable like.
EDITx7: Changed to proper tense and yet another typo.
EDITx8: Further clarification on the Malekko duo portion of mine fuzz collection.

Sarcasm?
For every one like this there are at least 10 of some guy explaining knobs.
Yawn and the hot chicks aren’t gonna’ dance and flash you if your band stands there and explains knobs.
Sorry about that noise guys.
Besides this is about the fuzz not the demos.
So Prunes and Custard on bass.

Yeah, I think it was obvious you were being sarcastic, but, as you said, it didn't really come across that way.
There's much debate as to what actual constitutes a proper pedal demo. It's a pretty subjective and nebulous area.
Fuzz, however, speaks for itself.
