i hate paypal, anyone else?

so im trying to purchase a synth mangler from one of our friendly forumites
and it wont let me pay w/ anything but my moms paypal card, apperantely their card validation processes arent sophisticated enough to validate mine or her visa cards, any of the 4 amex under our and our business names and even my friends visa wont go through
only paypal cards
how messed up is that?
now i seem like a shady, alleyway salesman --'

Yeah, I never saw the extra security with paypal vs. money orders. I mean even if the seller gets the money sooner with paypal.... does that change if he'll ship the product or not? money Order is slower but that's the only disadvantage I see to paypal.

You can file claims with Paypal...


...which I guess would mean you could buy something, receive it, file a claim saying you never got it, then get your money back.

I filed a claim with them once for a bad eBay seller.
I never got a dime back.
Now I always use my credit card to fund PayPal purchases. CC companies are usually better at going to bat for you if you got ripped off.

Paypal has its pros and cons......but it boils down to what so much of America boils down to..........convenience is god.

Yeah, I just never understood people who are die-hard one thing. Especially if there's plenty of references. Sometimes if I want the seller's item bad enough I'll use my cousin's account. I just assume both people are going into this deal with the same mindset, "this could go really well....or I could get screwed, betrayed, and treated like an idiot."

Personally I like Paypal, I normally don't sell stuff online and there for don't have a bank account hooked up with them. I just take the money on my PP account and use it to get another pedal

if you don't recieve your order, paypal can withhold funds from the seller, so paypal is by far the safest way to buy things on the internet.
