Anyone know if the octave on the HR is just one-fourth of the Bit Commander? Really liked the octave by itself and if that sound is on the Commander, I'd like to get that pedal alone.

If the new version is the same as the original, the octave circuit in the Hoof Reaper is a tweaked Green Ringer, and I'm pretty sure the Bit Commander is not.

Really? The Dan Armstrong pedal? I get that with the ring mod tones but I'm surprised. Thanks.

It's a terrific pedal. Unfortunately I want the Dirt Transmitter rather than the Reaper, and as I wrote I'd like more options in the octave, so I'm looking at a Bit Commander too.
In the end it looks like the Hoof Reaper will cost me the price of three Earthquaker pedals (hoof, dirt, bit), so they win.

Dammit, had to jump on this with TF's 20% off, too good a deal to resist.
