DeathByAudio Interstellar overdriver supreme

Post by scabiosa »

Hi guys!

Maybe I'm in a trade for a Interstellar overdriver supreme. It looks like a crazy and fun pedal, but only one concern: I heard that the pedal is on the trebly side of drive, that it takes some of the bass...and there is no tonecontrol...

And cause I wonna use it for heavy stonerriffing that is NOT a good thing!
I hope my concerns can be denied? Someone?

I used the regular Interstellar OD on bass, and it was very, very not disappointing in the lower registers. Ballsy is a good term to describe it.

Doesn't the Supreme have a Bass OD toggle on it?
You should be fine bro.

I had an IOS which i think was a bad build which i returned...it was very noisy (it was the only pedal i've ever had to run through a noise gate) especially in the self-tremolo mode. if you find a good one, though, you should be fine.

I thought the one I had was super dark and muddy. It took me about three minutes to decide to get rid of it...

Well, look at it this way.
If you don't like it, you can always flip it and get most of your money back.

There's far better (and less expensive) choices for the sound you're after imo. I was pretty let down by the IOS, just noisy as fuck and missed the mark on most settings. Pass on that shit.

ok, the deal is not going to happen...
But like the idea of having a nice overdrive/fuzz + the option of freaky madness... cool concept!!
Is there anything out there that do rock as we like it? (and is not so expensive...) :hobbes:

I dont have many OD recomendations but here's a pretty solid list to get you started:

BAT Pharaoh, Badascan (high gain Pharaoh with LSTR tone/gain character), Revelation (Super Lead and Super Bass equally badass), Black Forest

Dunwich FAC OFF

Dr. Scientist Elements

Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise

smallsound/bigsound Mini, TAFM

Earthbound Supercollider, Beast

EQD Dirt Transmitter, Hoof, possibly the new Talons though I have no experience with it.

Some great Fuzzhugger options as well.....

And so on like that....
