i would venture to say that kylesa fits into that descriptor very nicely. especially the very early albums. also, i think neurosis practically created the genre.

Yeah your right Neurosis started the genre. Kylesa would fit in as well .I dont mean to be that guy I just happen to like those bands and wondered if other people were into it. I'm new and just trying to make conversation.

I listened to all these bands and I don't see how this is a new corestyle at all.. if anything they all sound like cleaned up crust punk :idk: or sped up doom.. Still I kind of like what I heard.

Im so stoked you mention Khann! They are killer I booked them a show with my band like 4 years ago when they used to have the singer from bodies. Also really like Dead in the Dirt, they played locally in June. Any of you go to Power of the riff fest in either LA or NY?
