I'm a huge coffee snob...and a huge fuzz snob now (thanks ILF...)
If it tastes anywhere near as good as EQD pedals sound, I'll buy many, many pounds

At the risk of sounding like a coffee snob (which I'm fine with, because I am), I'll give you some unsolicited advice.
If you buy good coffee, don't let it sit around for weeks only to drink it on the weekends.
It'll go stale. Coffee is like bread, you wanna consume it when it's as fresh as possible.

And order it whole bean and get yourself a grinder. And use filtered water. You can go a lot further than that, but those or the basics

Touche - I actually didn't know that. My coffee intake has largely been out of necessity since I'm not exactly a morning person. I had some Jamaican blue mountain coffee while there on my honeymoon and that pretty much ruined my everyday normal coffee

So, would there be any way to extend the life of the coffee if I were to only want good/fancy coffee on the weekends, or should I just try and buy small quantities each week for the weekend?

Ha ha. That's awesomg. I love Jamaican Blue Mountain. It's inconsistent, but the good stuff is really good. It's really expensive outside of Jamaica. They produce such a small crop and the Japanese buy almost the entirety of it. If you decide to buy some, make sure it's 100% Jamaican Blue Mountain. Some roasters will include a small amount of it in a blend and call it "Jamaican Blue Mountain". Not the same thing. They do the same with other low production coffees like Kona.

If you can buy it in small quantities, that would be ideal. Especially if the roaster is local.
I think the current school of thought is that if you keep it in an air-tight container at room temperature, it's good for about a week.
(Somebody correct me, if I'm wrong on this.)
There're a bunch of great coffee websites with tons of good info.

Family photo!

And making some:

So to be honest, I'm really bad at identifying flavors and stuff like that, but I'm gonna say this has some fruity notes. My taste buds might be off from that bowl of frosted flakes though. But it is very tasty. Tastier than my frosted flakes. From visual inspection of the beans, it looks like a blend of a light/medium roast and a dark roast, so there's something in there for everyone.
