Malekko mini pedals

Post by mathias »

I've got two of them: the phaser and the tremolo. They're addictive! I need more!

Which ones are worth looking into?

fuck. the Bit is so CLOSE to being perfect. dunno on guitar, but on bass there's a bit of a low end and volume cut on the blend. there's an internal trimpot that boosts the overall volume, but it is FINICKY. and changes the tracking if you need to push it too far.

I had a Phase and didn't love it, but the Fuzz still intrigues me-the demos sound pretty awesome...

I remember that Devi had a video where she was playing a baritone guitar into two of the Malekko Omnicron Fuzzes, and it sounded great. Depends on the guitar and amp choice, I'm sure :idk:

Is the compressor any good? I know most people here don't use a compressor and most just make the noise on a dirty channel that much worse...

for sure. i'm not trying to trash the Omnicron stuff, but i never bonded with them that much. i think i've had 3 or 4.

but i don't really care about the tininess of the BB size. unless it's hiding somewhere tight packed and a looper in front to control them, i'd give them enough space that they might as well be normal sized enclosures.

My feelings exactly.

The fuzz is a Superfuzz clone, and the ToneFactor demo makes it sound REALLY GOOD. Just don't need one currently.

Yeah, well, it's not that I can just afford to splurge on a bunch of $120-140 pedals either. Just looking at options at this point, then will have to budget for one ;)

I haven't tried any of them, but the Fuzz and Vibrato tempt me.

Absolutely.
In addition to looking like toys, it's pretty difficult to really take advantage of the size...they're so small that if too close to others on your board you end up stomping something by mistake.

I've been really interested in Malekko's Spring reverb. The others are cool, but it's hard to find a reverb that small.

I dug the chicklet. Setting it just on the edge of oscillating was very arousing.
