Poly Tune Mini anyone?

Post by MaggotBrainNY »

I have 2 Boss tuners right now with shady outputs on them. Cutting out here and there. Weird... literally the only 2 Boss pedals that I've ever had problems with. Anyways... I'm thinking of getting a PT Mini to save space on my board. I'd just be using it as a regular tuner, not so much in poly mode.

Anyone using one? Thoughts? Honestly, more concerned about construction and durability than anything. Accuracy is obviously great, but as long as it's at least as good as a Pitch black or Boss tuner, I'm fine with that.

It's solid construction wise. Polyphonic mode doesn't work very accurately (on both versions, incorrectly reads the low E as flat when you strum all the strings) but the monochromatic (string by string) tracks faster than the boss or pitchblack tuners (I've had both).

I run a polytune mini on both bass and guitar, it's solid, pretty darned fast, and christ is it tiny.
