Planning board layout and routing (pic)

Post by fuzzypumpkins »

I'm planning on getting the last few pieces to put a bigger board together. I did this at pedalboardplanner.com and it's pretty close to what I want to build.
One thing I already messed up is the placement of the germanium fuzz, (as it should be first in line before any other circuits as well as before the signal converts to low impedance in any buffers)

So, with that said, what do you think? I know many here are minimalists and this will seem like a big self-gratification, jerkoff board, lol. I don't care though, I've always wanted a big board with a ton of tonal options.

Here's a brief explanation of the signal path:

guitar->
->germanium transistor fuzz(fuzz factory or basic audio spooky)
->comp
->muff
->wah
->Boss FB2 Feedbacker/Sustainer (first buffered pedal in line, at least I think)
->overdrive (either Boss sd-1 or mxr classic as I like to have at least one od before modulation fx for a very swirly, effected tone)
->modulations (phaser, vibe, analog chorus)
->other overdrives/distortions- right now, Lovepedal Eternity and Xotic BB+ (because I like most dirt pedals after modulation)
->either the Dr Scientist Trem or the higher gain distortion next, not sure?
->trem or heavy distortion
->back to right side of board to the volume pedal so I can do swells but before the delays so I don't cut off my delay trails
->Strymon (stereo out)
->L6 DL4 (stereo ins and out)

Excessive, right? :lol: Where do you guys put your trem pedals? I can see it being cool after all gain pedals for a very choppy effect...
Also, I will use a switcher/looper of some kind. Not sure about a buffer at the end of the signal path, as several of my pedals have buffers. Let me know your thoughts, if any! Thanks.

and a reverb. I would definitely need that. Very well thought out board though. What percentage of the way there are you already? I like these types of threads way more than "right now I only have a tuner, but I am planning on buying enough pedals to fill up a Pedaltrain T1000. Tell me the order I should put them in!"
