Coheed and Cambria
DISCUSS YOUR LOVE/HATE/WHATEVER.
A trailer for the new album(s) dropped today.
Personally I found the video/acting to be kinda cheesy, but I'm loving the music even if it isn't full band stuff.

Also, Claudio uses Dwarfcraft Devices.

Didn't watch the video, but I'm always in the mood for new Co&Ca.
I just hope this one is better than Year of the Black Rainbow.

Silent Earth 3 is one of my favorite albums...it feels like they sort of let the classic rock comparisons get to their head after that though (I hope it was just natural artistic growth). Black rainbow or whatever sort of sucked imo. stoked to here the new one, hoping it's a little more original sounding than the last one.

I love Domino, THAT is the Coheed I love. Was really let down by their last 2 albums, Good Apollo Vol. 1 will forever be sooo important to me as the cd that really made me become a guitar player, progressed my ability so much. I really think this is the CD I've been waiting for, so happy to see Josh Eppard back in the band, though hate what happened with Mike, not to mention they are all some of the greatest people to talk to, so happy I got to meet them at the SSTB show 2 years back.

After the very disappointing YOTBR and the somewhat lackluster End Complete, I am super jazzed about the new album. I think this is it: a return to the Coheed we knew and loved when we were stupid middle-schoolers.

So the album premiered at Rolling Stone today. Listening to it now. I was skeptical but so far I'm digging it. The songs are pretty damn catchy, and the interludes/noise are well done. I'd love to hear an ambient noise piece from these guys.
Also, fuck yeah Josh Eppard.
EDIT: Holy shit the chorus on Evagria the Faithful is incredible.

Re: Coheed and Cambria
Love most of the album. A lot of Classic Coheed, but with some very new stuff, as well.
A couple of the tracks are just gorram beautiful. Mothers of Men almost made me cry at one point.
Hollywood the Cracked disoriented me at first, but I can definitely get behind it after listening a couple times. I can enjoy it as a piece of art, but it won't be one of those songs I like to pop on in the background to hear over and over again.
