It is germanium/silicon hybrid isn't it? I read he came up with the initial prototype by playing with extra transistors. I love it. I'd hate to call it a fuzz face because it has way more gain. I'm using it at minimum fuzz and it still is kicking out some serious fuzz. But it does have that fuzz face texture. The tone knob acts similar to the tone knob on TAFMs, it changes the raspy/muffle of the fuzz rather than a more filtery knob like a big muff. I am probably just turned off by the term fuzz face because every demo and person I've seen plays blues rock so their white boy blues tone from their fingers punches through.
But yeah I've switched up the order in the video to Hyperion->Cosmichorus->Dirt Transmitter. The Cosmichorus into the Transmitter is the sexiest gaze sound I've concocted. Makes up for not having a trem arm. Then just step on the hyperion for abrasiveness! Not to mention its the prettiest line up I've had in a long time. Colored enclosures really ruffle my jimmies.

I thought it was hybrid as well. The demos sound awesome, and as I said, doesn't seem like just another FF. One of the few pedals I've stayed consistently interested in, and actually the first EQD I ever saw.
No offense intended.. mine is from 08, has 2 transistors, half a dozen components, and sounds like a FF. I always thought it was a FF. *shrug*
That's a long time ago in the pedal world though... it could be a dramatically different circuit nowadays... and even if it's not I'm not saying that's bad or anything, just that maybe Jeromy would find it to be a familiar sound.

Howyoudodat?
Well I has it in bright mode, slow mode, and the vibrato (singular alien image) mode. Gravity at 3 o clock, Speed a little past 3 o clock, and Dimension around or above noon.
