Ok, so I was watching THIS (linky):

And the drive tone at 0:53 is :!!!: but he's using a GB Shuttle :cry:

SO... does a Rusty Box sound remotely like that? Youtube says yes/no/maybe, but what does ILF say? Anything else cop that tawn? Does the pope wear a funny hat?

Rusty Box definatly sounds even better than that, but yes it should be able to get that tone, just a much meatier and nastier in the mids. To get the best possible sound out of the rusty u should bypass yer amp's pre amp by plugging into the effects loop of yer amp

Thanks! :group: Nasty mids is something I'm definitely interested in :lol: The tone in the vid minus some low end is really close to my ideal tone.

I've got both the Rusty Box and a Shuttle 12.0. I need to listen on better speakers and I'll see what I can come up with.

Agreed. I could get it really close. The 6.0 Shuttle he has and the 12.0 that I have are a little bit different but I took his settings and tried to match what I heard. The Rusty Box was running through a GK 210RB. I was able to get it, what I would consider, very close. I didn't spend a ton of time on it so with your tweaking you could probably get it even closer. I did like it with the Rusty better but I like the Rusty Box A LOT so I'm bias. I don't and didn't run it through the effects loop either just for a FYI.

I run Rusty Box in the input of both my amps, like the sound it in this way more. Can't wait to push it with Speaker Cranker :)
