Neck/Bridge pickup positions
Does it really matter what position you put pickups in? I got two humbuckers from GFS and, once I installed them, I wished I had ordered the opposite positions. Would there be any problem with just switching them?

Re: Neck/Bridge pickup positions
Bridge pickups are hotter than neck pickups due to distance from string vibration. I've heard that if you put a Bridge in the Neck it gets a little boomy, but it's something I've never tried before

Just stomp on the switch as fast or slow as you'd like.

Can't that be answered by lowering the pickup farther from the strings? Or would that cause the pickup to lose signal, somehow?
I'll try it and report back.

Re: Neck/Bridge pickup positions
if it works for you then do it. i've done it a lot. used to have a LP with a tele bridge pickup in the neck slot and it was rad and went well with the hummy in the bridge.
.....as mentioned it's for output balance when switching between the 2 positions. sometimes the pole pieces are slightly closer together on the neck pickup.
