dang i need help - RRR or Wet

Post by LeeFX »

hey guys - :picard:

well actually i already ordered my Dr Scientist RRR, but it's taking more than 7 month now, so i want my money back.

now i thought about ordering a reverberator from another shop (it needs to be shipped to europe and i am not the richest, so i only have one choice).
i know it's ridiculous to buy such a thing just on the opinion of others  but no chance of trying one of these here.

then I was randomly doing some research on the web and then
somebody said something about the Neunaber WET and holy crap -
dig the first sample here on their official page:
http://www.neunabertechnology.com/gear/ ... reo-reverb (or sample)
this is beautiful.

well all around i "want" to like the Reverberator more, because it looks better, more settings, dr. scientist (ryan and wife) is hilarious, but i did not find any sample or video that dreamy sounding. but i cannot believe this - i think, that all samples of the RRR you find are crappy, well at least i hope that!
(see, again a video of the WET I haven't seen for the Reverberator in that quality)

well, to specify what i at least want to have with a delay is, that it 'can' do really really stunning dreamy sound of wall you just wanna sink into for hours just by playing single notes! (fuck stereo, expression pedal and stuff, i don't have a clue how to work with that - but the one has infinite reverb and importable user settings, the other 100%wet, ... AAAARGH :mope: )

Why has it been seven months?

LeeFX, you're new here, welcome.

I don't "want" to judge you, but your first post is kind of ranty/spammy. If you know what I mean?

What, exactly, is your point? I can't tell what you'd like to communicate to us. Could you, please, be more specific?

Have you tried bringing this up in the Dr. Sci forums? Is this a dealer's issue? Or a build time thing? I'm with Chank, you're not exactly clear here.

They are two pretty different reverbs...
I wouldn't put too much stock in video demos, reverb is one of those things you need to feel / hear for yourself.

The rrr is one of my personal favorites, but based on your post I'm guessing you'll probably dig the wet.
rrr's are still in decent demand so you could always try one and flip it.

Ryan is unbelievably good at building great sounding pedals.

The Wet is ok, but Dr. Scientist would be my go to given the choice.
I play.

If you said, "RRR or any other reverb?" I would say RRR.

Why has it been seven months? It sounds like your store could be messing you around?

As for demos, a quick Google search yielded several good-quality ones, here you go! Plenty of dreamy sounds to be found with the RRR. I have the blue "put a bird on it", and absolutely love it.

Hey Lee, welcome to ILF and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble finding a mini-RRR!

May I ask what store has made you wait 7 months? Mini-RRRs are pretty much readily available any time and I think every store we work with has them in stock, or could within 2 weeks if they wanted. And I'd make you one any time you like, if you like!

I think all those demos sound sweet, not crappy! :idk:

I have to admit, after being away from the forum for a while it's nice to see ILF still dealing with these kinds of posts like this.

Well Ryans here, boom.

My birfdays coming up, I might be picking up an RRR then :D
