AB switch choices

So i see a lot of diagrams with one input to 2 outputs. http://www.monkeyfx.co.uk/pictures/bestABY.jpg

But i want to be able to have 2 inputs to 1 output.

could i use that diagram, or what do i need to do to it to change it for my needs.

Also, shout i just get a splitter

all you have to do is use the inputs as outputs and vice versa. the connections are the same.

here is how I did it with LED's. it still works without power. and yes you can plug in backwards.
